Corporate CEO speaks series

Knowledge comes from a variety of sources, our students work with faculty to bring renown thought leaders on to campus and interact with them in informal, inspiring settings.
Most of the success stories will have one moment which sparked the growth or create the vision. We want our students to get as many opportunities to interact with great leaders from variety of industries, so they get a lot of experience sharing opportunities with industry vetrens.
Based on the interests of the students we have individual or group discussions with eminent business leaders.
Outbound activities including factory visits
Students are occasionally taken on outbound activities in full strength or small groups, combining factory visits to companies of excellence, combined with informal settings where alternate ideas can be brought forward.
It is stated that more the exposure the better it is. These informal industry visits help the networking and bonding between the cohort members and also exposes the entreprenuerial zeal in students to come out as they see a wide variety of successful business enterprises.

Mentorship programs

Everyone is not the same. We recognize this and provide one to one mentorship, assisting each students journey of self-discovery. We help identify industry vetrens and assign one or two students to each mentor so there is an opportunity to closely interact with each other and discuss more on the real world business situations and not stick to only the business concepts taught as part of the curriculum.
Entrepreneurship assistance
This is an area where we shine as our origins are from Industry. Indeed, there are startup ventures on campus which give hands on experience even in things like getting compliance certificates and licenses, building manufacturing facilities, the art of purchase and negotiation, selling skills, understanding cash flows etc – just as in the real world.

Reflection Workshop

Self introspection is the greatest strength of every successful individual. Only by realizing where we are lacking we will be able to identify how to close the gap. So these sessions will be done in a scientific way to help achieve the goal of identifying the gaps and then setting goals to close them.
Held once a quarter, it is an added process to mentorship where students reflect on their learning experiences and try to see what gaps of learning they would cover in the ending month.
Extracurricular events and programs
When we talk of holistic learning, it is very important to take care of the body, mind and intellect. So we at Firebird, give a lot of importance to healthy body, be it through our sports activities or good food at the canteen. The mind needs enough stimulation as well, that is the reason we have many clubs and activities. conducting many programs through out the academic year. The students get to participate and organize these sports, cultural and academic conferences through the year. These activities help inculcate the team spirit and gives them the opportunity to network with various people.
