National Research Activities

3. I was approached by Professor Hua Wang of Computing Department of USQ, Australia to assess PhD theses. I agreed to this and assessed two Australian PhD theses. The Australian University has accepted my recommendation as a result of providing comprehensive feedback on the theses.

Prof N Chandrasekhar is currently a Professor with Firebird Institute of Research in Management – Coimbatore
He has served in the Corporate- Multi-national & Domestics organized/ Family run for 25 years in the areas of MARKETING / SALES & RETAIL.
He commenced his career with Sandoz Ltd in 1982 as a ‘Management Trainee’ in the area/s of marketing ethical drugs and nutritional supplements with direct responsibility of sales and field level market research in Tamil Nadu (based in Madurai and later in Chennai).
In 1988 joined Amrutanjan Ltd, Over the counter range of healthcare products as West Zone Manager based in Mumbai, India as in charge of Western India.
From 1992 with Gufic Ltd, based in Mumbai as the Head of Consumer Products division and was responsible for the overall Marketing, Sales, Market research, new products introduction and Distribution at an all India level.
In 1996 joined the Lyka group company as All India Marketing Manager-Consumer Products division and rose to the level of Vice President (Marketing & Franchise Development) pioneering the launch of the first organized retail pharmacy chain in India by this group under the US pharmacy chain ‘The Medicine Shoppe". This assignment gave him the opportunity to help set up 30 family owned and run Health care stores as well as a very deep insight of the Franchising concept. Was formally trained by the Cardinal Group (USA) in St. Louis and was certified.

Dr Chetan Bajaj is a Doctorate from IIM-B and M.Com from the prestigious Delhi School of Economics. He has been Dean/Director at top B Schools and Universities across the country, for the last 15 years.
Previously, Dr Chetan Bajaj was a Faculty member at MDI Gurgaon and Visiting Faculty member with multiple IIMs, Antwerp University-Europe, and other leading institutions. His Corporate experience includes stints with PWC, Kirloskar Group and Apollo Tyres.
Dr Chetan Bajaj has a very rich experience in MDPs, Executive Training and Consulting. He has been a Consultant to over 40 top MNCs and National companies across three Continents. Dr.Nanjundaraj Prem Anand, is Professor – Marketing area at Firebird.. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, PG degree in Management and Ph.D. in Management.
He has over two and a half decades of experience in teaching, at the PG level. His areas of interest and specialization are Brand Management, Promotion and Sales Management. He has extensive academic administration experience.
Dr.Prem Anand has been a resource person for various training programmes for companies and institutions. He has participated in many conferences and faculty development programmes and has also published articles in journals. He is a member on the board of studies of various institutions and focuses on practical application of concepts in the area of marketing and uses a mix of learning tools in the class room.

Dr. J. Joseph Francis, Assistant Professor, specializes in Operations and Decisions Sciences. He has done his B.E. from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore and his M.B.A. from Pondicherry University. He obtained his Ph.D in Management Sciences from Anna University, Chennai for his thesis titled “Modelling the relationship between Productivity, Use of Technology and Service Quality among Indian Airline Service Providers”. He has 13 years of Academic and 10 years of Industry experience. He is professional member of the Project Management Institute, USA, American Production and Inventory Control Society, USA and American Society for Quality. He is trained in Project Management by the Project Management Institute. He is also an AIMA certified Bizlab Trainer.

Assistant Professor

Dr. Ramkumar S belongs to the Faculty of OB and HR area (specialized in HR Analytics & Operations). He commenced his career as a full-time Research Fellow under UGC-MRP after having an immersion in the Pharma industry (New Delhi). He is an FDPM alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and consequently, having a decade of experience in Research and Teaching, served in various institutions across the Southern part of India. He earned his MBA in first class with Distinction from Anna University and Ph.D. from Bharathiar University.
At present, he is undertaking a consultancy project on ‘Measuring Shop-floor level Attrition and Modeling Retention Strategies’ at Shiva Texyarn Ltd. through the Research & Consultancy wing of FIREBIRD. He designed courses, engaged in research, and published papers in the area of Organization Theory, HR Operations & Metrics, Predictive HR Analytics, Critical Organizational Studies, Business Research Methods, etc. He also coordinates the Research & Consultancy wing of FIREBIRD and conducts MDPs & FDPs in the area of HR Analytics and Research Methodology. To his credit, he has been developed a Canonical Model out of his doctoral thesis and published papers in the area of Organizational Culture and Learning. He has also been experimented with the Democratic Classroom Management practices in line with Paulo Freire’s theory of Education and published papers out of it.
He has been bestowed with several awards and honors, to name a few: CREED Research Fellowship from the EDII-Ahmedabad, Best Research Paper Award from MS University, Thirunelveli, and Scholar in Environmental Research Award from the All Traders’ Association of Erode District.

Dr. P Senthil Prakash, B.Com., M.B.A., and Ph.D. Degrees in Management disciplines from Bharathiyar University. His primary focus is on teaching mangement students in marketing area through research and professional service activities. His doctoral dissertation examines the Job embeddedness of the sales executives working in the banking industry. Further, his research, aimed at minimizing the attrition and to maximize the duration of the stay of a sales executive in the organization.
He has to his credit sufficient academic experience and five years of experience in industry which enabled him to be an effective faculty and researcher in business school. His objective is to motivate the students to develop their own learning interests and critical thinking—to establish a learner-centered environment in the classroom. In addition to teaching, he was a Program Director for a six-month Executive Development Program for a company named Aries Agro Ltd. This company is India’s one of the largest manufacturer of agro products. The program is tailor-made with the intention to enhance the leadership and managerial skills of the executives. This is a residential program and the executives are drawn from various parts of India, who work for the agro company.

Ms Vaidehi is an Assistant Professor with 5 years of experience in academia to her credit; she holds a B.Tech. (Information Technology) degree from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore and distinction in MBA (Systems) from PSG Institute of Management, Coimbatore. She also has an Executive Diploma in Business Analytics (Gold Medalist) from Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA), Chennai. She has contributed several research papers in reputed journals. Her areas of teaching include Systems and Business Analytics and her research interest is Learning Analytics and Development Economics.

He is a seasoned behavioural coach, International corporate trainer and conference speaker with hands-on exposure for over two decades, both in Industry as well as Academia. He completed his B.E., from Kumaraguru college of Technology (KCT)and did his MBA from Dr.GRD College of Science. He is a Certified Professional Behaviour & Values Analyst [DiSC®] awarded by TTI, Bangalore and Success Insights, USA. He is also a certified Practitioner of NLP. The All India Management Association, New Delhi trained and certified him as a ‘Certified Trainer in AIMA BizLab’, the unique business simulation program. Jothi has served in various capacities as the CEO, Head-Training as well as in other defining roles in his rich career. He has customized and facilitated innumerable MDPs, FDPs, Train The Trainer (TTT) workshops. He made a lasting impression with his International training assignments for major construction Giants in the Middle East.

Orientation for the students, faculty and staff regarding Library resources and database
Generating reports of the Library management
Interacting with students, providing information in answer to inquires about books, articles, and e-books services.
Taking service inquiry calls from students or faculty and dispatching the suitable student’s service associate to address questions.
Handling and resolving student’s complaints, or special orders via mail or phone
Receiving and processing reports, providing information concerning changes.
Coordinating student’s service requirements with other appropriate departments as necessary to ensure effective student’s service.
Confers with students throughout services to keep them informed of status of books and to procure information and materials needed by establishment personnel to process order.
Handles Library transaction using the system-wide integrated Library system-Fedena, Linways and KOHA
Records daily statistics and assists in preparing monthly statistical report
Monitor Library user behavior, Acquisition & Processing
Supervising and monitoring the circulation services
Reference services in the collection and facilities including document delivery.
Re-structuring catalogue for all books on shelf
Classification through the OCLC- Experimental Classification system and following the DDC 23rd edition.
